Early Cancer Detection Could Save Your Life
This patient credits Dr. Sternberg with noticing a lump in her throat. She ultimately had her thyroid removed due to cancer. She explains that early cancer detection is an important part of a thorough dental exam.
Hi, everyone. I'm here to tell you that my doctor, my dentist, Dr. Sternberg was the first guy who noticed that I had a lump in my throat, and it was through a dental exam. All dentists should be able to look at your mouth and do certain checks on your throat to check for different types of cancer. If it wasn't for him, I would not have been enlightened or known to even go and have it checked. It could save your life. I had to have my thyroid removed two times, half and then the other half, and now I'm doing fine. So if you can, go to a good dentist, one that will check you for different types of cancer because it's around there, it's out there, and anybody is able to come down with this, and you need somebody there to check it for you. So go to your dentist and let them check that, and give you that beautiful smile that you all deserve. Thanks, Dr. Sternberg.
