Am I a candidate for porcelain veneers?
Esthetic improvement provided by porcelain veneers can enhance your life. We look at each other and make decisions. Do I like the person? Are they attractive to me? Would I like to be their friend? Would I buy what they are selling? Have you noticed that motion pictures portray the villain or unsavory character with teeth that range from unattractive to hideous? Our smiles are one of the first announcements that we make about ourselves. It is the body language of the smile.
I have practiced dentistry for 40 years and of all the treatment that I have provided I believe that improving smiles with porcelain veneers has provided the patient and myself with the greatest satisfaction. I learned the technique after graduating NYU Dental College in 1974. In the early 1980’s I returned to NYU for continuing education and spent a great deal of time preparing and fabricating veneers for patients.
Adrian Jurim invented and patented the porcelain veneers process. I have a very close relationship with Adrian Jurim and he fabricates the veneers that I place on my patients. The technique that makes veneers look natural and feel like your own teeth is technically challenging for the dentist. Nuisances that correct color shape and shade are an art form. I am proud to say that patients who have chosen to have me treat them with this procedure tell me how it has changed their lives. People who never smiled or held their hand to cover their mouth as they spoke now smile with confidence. I am grateful to have been a part of their metamorphosis. The procedure is usually two visits and accomplished within 7 days.
